Introduction
This guide is intended for customers to enable single sign-on (SSO) with the LoopUp Cloud Telephony Admin Portal using Microsoft Entra ID.
Configure Single Sign-On
The preferred experience for authentication against CTAP is utilizing Microsoft Entra ID. However it is not enabled by default but only takes a few quick steps to setup.
- Please inform your account manager or project manager to enable SSO for your organization, you will need to supply your Microsoft 365 Tenant ID (if not provided previously)
- Navigate to https://admin.loopup.com/
- Click the Sign in with Microsoft button
- Proceed to sign in with your Microsoft credentials
- When prompted, select Consent on behalf of your organisation and click Accept
Congratulations, SSO is now fully configured for all of the Cloud Telephony logins within your organization. You will not be prompted for permissions again.
Frequently Asked Questions
Before attempting to troubleshoot any error messages, please ensure the account used to sign-in above has either Global Administrator or Privileged Role Administrator role in the Microsoft 365 Tenant designated for SSO.
Approval Required
This occurs when the user attempting to sign in using Microsoft Entra ID SSO for the first time doesn't have the required privileges to consent on behalf of your organization and complete the setup.
- When prompted, enter a justification in the text box provided, and click Request approval
- Your Global Administrators will receive the request, and would need to approved before you can sign-in.
Organization Not Setup
If you see the following message when trying to sign-in using your Microsoft Entra ID credentials, it means SSO has not enabled for your organization.
If you are the IT Administrator for your organization, please inform your account manager or project manager to enable SSO for your organization, you will need to supply your Microsoft 365 Tenant ID (if not provided previously).
